To celebrate the release of Heartstopper Volume 2, Alice Oseman will be joining us in store to discuss her "involving, intimate and adorable" graphic novel, as well as how she addresses themes of love, friendship and mental health. Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. Heartstopper began as an online sensation: the webcomic attracted a legion of fans, with 4.6 million views on Tapas and over 70,000 subscribers. Following a kickstarter campaign, Alice went on to publish Volume One of Heartstopper last year. "Absolutely delightful. Sweet, romantic, kind. Beautifully paced. I loved this book" - Rainbow Rowell Charlie didn't think Nick could ever like him back, but now they're officially boyfriends. Nick's even found the courage to come out to his mum. But coming out isn't just something that happens once - there's Nick's older brother, and a school trip to Paris, not to mention all the other friends and family - and life can be hard, even with someone who loves you by your side. As their feelings for each other get more serious, Charlie and Nick will need each other more than ever before... Alice Oseman secured her first publishing deal at 17 years old, for her debut novel, Solitaire. Since then, she has gone on to write two further novels - Radio Silence and I Was Born For This - two novellas - this winter and Nick and Charlie, and the Heartstopper series.
