Biographical Notes

Caryl Hart is the author of many bestselling books for children, including Knock Knock Dinosaur, How to Grow A Dinosaur and The Princess and the Peas. She is the winner of the Stockport Children's Book Award, the Sheffield Children's Book Award and the Lancashire Share a Story Award. Caryl lives on the top of a windy hill in the Peak District with her family, including one extremely fluffy black cat, a goldfish, four hens and an invisible dog called Paddy.

Laura Ellen Anderson is a bestselling children's book writer and illustrator. Her picture book titles include Snowflakes and Mermaid, both written by CBBC presenter Cerrie Burnell, and Snappy Birthday, written by Mark Sperring. Laura is also the creator of Evil Emperor Penguin and illustrator of Witch Wars, Enid Blyton's Famous Five and Cornelia Funke's Dragon Rider series, as well as the author-illustrator of her own fiction series, Amelia Fang.
