Biographical Notes

Claire has worked as a teacher in the UK, USA and Colombia. She spent many years in Yorkshire, where she brought up her son, and now lives just outside London with her husband. She has an MA in Creative Writing from Lancaster University.
Claire believes passionately in the potential of all young people. Her first novel Cordelia Codd: Not Just the Blues explores how by living bravely in the face of everyday disasters we develop the power to shape our future. It was published by Orchard in June 2012. Orchard published a third Cordelia Codd title in 2015 and The Terrifying Teacher is her first story for Franklin Watts.
