URGENT!
An epidemic is sweeping the country.
You are among the infected. There is no cure; and you cannot be permitted to infect others. You are now under quarantine.
The very few of the infected who survive are dangerous and will be taken into the custody of the army.

Young runaway Callie survived the disease, but not the so-called treatment. Her brother Kai is still looking for her. And his new friend Shay may hold the key to uncovering what truly happened.

From the author of the international sensation Slated comes the first book in a powerful new story of survival and transformation; love and power.

I loved this book. It was a wonderful mix of everything that I love within a book. Teri Terry, this sits on par with Slated — YA Obsessed
I love Contagion. It has an interesting premise and the story is told with great action and a breathless pace. The central characters are well-drawn and relatable. It blends several genres -- conspiracy thriller, dystopian, sci-fi, even a bit of the supernatural -- to great effect. It has a wonderful, evocative setting and sense of landscape. I think Teri Terry has a real talent for writing exciting stories that are accessible and easy to read but also have a thought-provoking thematic depth. She makes you think — The Bookbag
Another award winner from Teri Terry! [...] This book is fantasy but thought provoking, much of it chillingly believable. [...] it has so many twists and turns that will keep the reader intrigued. Can't wait for the next one in this trilogy. Get a copy soon and enjoy. — Linda Brown, school librarian, Reading Zone

Introduce children to the concept of politics and find out who's in charge across the world from presidents, prime ministers and dictators, to kings and queens. This book will look at different systems of leadership that exist globally, looking in particular at how democracies work and what voting and elections are.It looks at the seven main types of governments/ways of ruling - Anarchy; Dictatorship; Monarchy; Theocracy; Totalitarian; Republic; Democracy. It looks at the set-up of democratic governments, in particular the UK and US and what they do, for example making laws, funding armies, providing services and how they make these things happen and why we pay taxes. We talk about the different political ideologies that different governments have, such as capitalism and communism, and the spectrum of ideologies from the far left to the far right, including liberalism, socialism, conservatism and fascism - and in between. How do elections work? What types of elections are there, for example, local, state, for a leader, or national/general, how candidates are chosen, what voting systems are in place, such as PPR and FPP, who is entitled to vote and how votes are cast and counted. This is the discovery of the century and mad, greedy scientists will stop at nothing to track him down.Kofi and best friend Janie are on a mission.
