Charles Fuge's picture book debut won both the Macmillan Prize and the Mother Goose Award. Since then he has illustrated more than thirty picture books, including the bestselling Little Wombat stories. He lives in Dorset with his partner, Sarah, and their son Ollie.

Maddie Frost is the author and illustrator of Once Upon a Zzzz, Animobiles and Wakey Birds. She is also the illustrator of The Littlest Things Give The Loveliest Hugs, A is for Artichoke and more. She lives with her husband and dog in Boston, USA.
Maeve Friel

Maeve Friel is the author of Felix on the Move "Leapfrog" and Felicity Floss:Tooth Fairy "Leapfrog Rhyme Time". She has also written the popular Witch-in-Training series for Harper Collins which has so far been translated into eleven languages. Her next book "Tiger Lily - Heroine in the Making" comes out later this year. Her short stories have been widely anthologised. Maeve was born in Northern Ireland, lived in England and Italy for many years, and now divides her time between Dublin and a small Spanish village. She has two grown up children.
Joe Friedman

Joe Friedman was born in Chicago to deaf parents. He has written stories since he was seven and sold his first play at 13. Vivian French

Vivian is a writer of both books and plays; she has written more than 250 children's books, including the very successful Tiara Club series, and is consistently one of the top 30 most borrowed authors from UK libraries. She has had plays performed both in London and throughout Scotland; her audiences include young adults as well as children. She has won many awards for her books, and is regularly invited to festivals including Cheltenham and the Edinburgh International Book Festival. (2012 Guest selector for the children's programme.) Vivian teaches part time at Edinburgh College of Art, and is one of the two founding members of the PictureHooks programme supporting Scottish illustrators. She is married with four grown up daughters and three grandchildren, and lives in Edinburgh. She'd like a cat, but lives up 66 steps and has no garden ... maybe one day. Her favourite book is an empty notebook.Since 1990, Vivian French has published more than 100 books for children of all ages. Jess French

Jess French is a passionate vet, zoologist and naturalist who has been named one of Britain's top 50 conservationists by BBC Wildlife magazine. She presented her own TV series on CBeebies called Minibeast Adventure with Jess and worked on Live 'n' Deadly (CBBC), Deadly Mission Madagascar (CBBC), Springwatch (BBC) and Micro Monsters 3D (Sky). Jess has written several books for children, including the Born Free series for Orion Children's Books.
Charles Freeman

Writer and teacher Charles Freeman specializes in the 20th century and international affairs. He is an examiner for the World Affairs paper in the International Baccalaureate's history programme, in which 'Dictatorship' was a popular option.
Antonia Fraser

Antonia Fraser is the author of many widely acclaimed historical works, including the biographies MARY, QUEEN OF SCOTS (a 40th anniversary edition was published in May 2009), CROMWELL: OUR CHIEF OF MEN, KING CHARLES II and THE GUNPOWDER PLOT (CWA Non-Fiction Gold Dagger; St Louis Literary Award). She has written five highly praised books which focus on women in history, THE WEAKER VESSEL: WOMEN'S LOT IN SEVENTEENTH CENTURY ENGLAND (Wolfson Award for History, 1984), THE WARRIOR QUEENS: BOADICEA'S CHARIOT, THE SIX WIVES OF HENRY VIII, MARIE ANTOINETTE: THE JOURNEY (Franco-British Literary Prize 2001), which was made into a film by Sofia Coppola in 2006 and most recently LOVE AND LOUIS XIV: THE WOMEN IN THE LIFE OF THE SUN KING. She was awarded the Norton Medlicott Medal by the Historical Association in 2000. Antonia Fraser was made DBE in 2011 for her services to literature. Emilia Fox

Emilia Fox appeared in the BBC's PRIDE AND PRJUDICE whilst still at university, and has gone on to star in REBECCA, DAVID COPPERFIELD, BBC's 2009 MERLIN series and in 2012 starred as Lady Portia Alresford in UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS. She also reads regularly on Radio 4 and has taken over the role as Dr Nikki Alexander in the TV series SILENT WITNESS. Emilia has read numerous audiobooks including the MAGICAL CHILDREN series, THE SWEETNESS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PIE by Alan Bradley and SECRETS OF THE TIDES by Hannah Richell for Orion.

Robert Fowke

Louise Forshaw

Louise was born in 1987 - most likely with a pencil in her hand! Her passion for drawing started at around 4 years old. Nothing was safe from her coloured pencils! She spent most of her childhood watching cartoons and drawing comics to give to her favourite teachers. She went on to graduate from Newcastle College in 2008 with a BA Hons in Illustration and Animation. Louise works from home in a small studio (and sometimes from the sofa) being supervised by three noisy and very naughty Jack Russell Terriers.
Mandy Foot

Mandy Foot is a self-proclaimed animal nut and horse lover and works in a studio in the Adelaide Hills. Lizann Flatt

Lizann was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She's the author of over 12 nonfiction books and numerous short stories and poems. Her picture book "Let's Go! The Story of Getting from There to Here" was named the 2009 TD Grade One Giveaway title, which means the book was given to every grade one child in Canada-nearly 500,000 kids. Her work has appeared in Ladybug, Babybug, and Highlights for Children magazines. Lizann is a former editor of Canadian children's magazine Chickadee. She has an Honours English degree. When she's not writing, Lizann gardens, bakes, works as a part-time library circulation clerk, and photographs the flora and fauna in her backyard. (She's almost embarrassed to say it but, as the exception that proves the rule, she actually does have beavers in her backyard.)
Emma Fischel

Perdita Finn

A former teacher, Perdita Finn began writing instructional books about reading and writing before turning to fiction. She lives in the Catskill Mountains with her family.
Jim Field

Jim Field is a lead-driven, pencil-pushing, 25-frames-per-second Led Zeppelin fan. He is also a hugely talented illustrator and animation director. His first picture book Cats Ahoy! won the Booktrust Roald Dahl Funny Prize and was nominated for the Kate Greenaway award. Maya Fidawi

As a member of a family who embraced art, she was very much encouraged to be anartist. She studied painting and sculpting at the faculty of art in the Lebanese university andgraduated in the year 2000. She has been illustrating ever since and has illustrated over 17books, most of which have been done for Kalimat publishers.
