Diane Ewen

Diane Ewen is British illustrator, born in Walsall, in the West Midlands. She has always been in love with art and graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a B.A. Honours Degree in illustration. Diane likes to create illustrations that are hand-drawn in pencil before painting in watercolour and acrylics prior to embellishing them using Photoshop but she also enjoys working directly on the computer screen creating her designs. She likes the fact that illustrations are the first things that entice the reader to engage with a book and is inspired by the use of vibrant colour.
Beryl Evans

Beryl Evans is the pseudonym adopted by Stephen King for his picture book Charlie the Choo-Choo. Stephen King has written over fifty worldwide bestsellers. His acclaimed works include Carrie, The Shining, The Stand, and Misery. He is also the author of The Dark Tower fantasy series. Many of his books have been turned into celebrated films, including Stand by Me, The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption.

Clare Elsom is an exciting and talented illustrator, scribbling away in south west London.
Andy Elkerton

Andy Elkerton is a highly talented illustrator who has now turned his hand to writing. He has illustrated many fabulous readers on the Franklin Watts list. One of his recent titles, I Love this Tree, was shortlisted for the SLA awards.He lives on the west coast of Scotland with his family.
Edward Eaves

Ed Eaves graduated from Kingston University with a first class degree in illustration and since then has worked on a wide range of children's books. He is best known for the Albie series with Caryl Hart, including Supermarket Zoo, How to Grow a Dinosaur and Welcome to Alien School. He lives in Kent with his wife, the illustrator Rebecca Finn.

Nick East

Nick East is the illustrator of the bestselling Toto the Ninja Cat as well as the Goodnight Digger and Knock Knock series. He worked for many years as a museum designer but has always been a storyteller, whether as a child, filling sketchbooks with quirky characters, or as a designer displaying a collection of ancient artefacts. Sarah Eason

Sarah is an experienced author and editor of children's books.
Phil Earle

Phil Earle was born in the great city of Hull in 1974, and spent the next eighteen years playing a lot of sport, messing around in plays and trying to sing in bands. He has had jobs as a care worker in a residential kids' home and a bookseller, and now works as sales and marketing director for David Fickling books. In 2016, Phil was appointed as Reading charity BookTrust's new writer-in-residence. He lives on a hill in Yorkshire with his wife and three children and his favourite place to write is on the bus.
