Gwé

Although Gwé dreamed of becoming a ballerina as a young girl she eventually found another passion, making her pencils dance for the creation of children's books, toys and clothes.After graduating from Fine Arts, Gwé set about designing logos, posters and catalogues in the areas of fashion, food and music. This came to a halt when she decided to follow her true nature and passion, designing for children.Whether it's costumes, toys or books about princesses in far away places, Gwé is at home illustrating for kids. The arrival of her own daughter has further confirmed her love of illustrating and the joy her work brings to little ones of all ages. Regardless of what Gwé sets out to create she always remains true to her child at heart.
Stephen Gulbis

Steve was born in Somerset to an English mother and Latvian father. He grew up in North Yorkshire and took a BA Hons degree in Graphic Design at Bath Academy of Art. Steve has been a freelance illustrator since 1981, and has had many advertising commissions, has designed lots of book jackets and is a regular contributor to Soccerstars magazine.Steve lives with his wife and their two daughters, Laura and Rosie, in Banbury, Oxfordsire.
Charlotte and Adam Guillain

Charlotte says she doesn't come from anywhere because she moved around a lot when she was growing up. She always wanted to be a writer and worked as a bookseller before training to teach English as a Foreign Language. This took her to the Czech Republic and Ukraine, before she headed to Zanzibar to teach English to student nurses. On her return to the UK, Charlotte moved to Oxford where she started working in publishing before going freelance and writing children's non-fiction. She now writes picture books and young fiction, both with her husband Adam, and on her own.

Rebecca Gryspeerdt

Since leaving the Bath College of Art, Rebecca Gryspeerdt has worked as a freelance illustrator, on projects as varied as Greenpeace cards and the Oxfam calendar. She has also co-written and ilustrated two children's books with Julia Mcrae.

Sally Grindley

Sally began writing in 1984 while working as Editorial Director of a nationwide children's book club. She has been writing full time since 1995 and has had over 150 books published - from picture books to young readers to young novels. She won the Nestle Smarties Gold Award for her children's novel, Spilled Water, and her Hodder picture book, Shhh! (with Peter Utton), won the Children's Book Award, as well as being runner-up for the Smarties Prize. Keep Out!, Help! and It's the Troll! have followed on from Shhh!, all of them illustrated by Peter Utton, and all of them sharing great elements of surprise and humour, designed to encourage fun interaction with their audience.
David Grimstone

David Lee Stone is best known for his series The Illmoor Chronicles. His books have been published in many countries and in several different languages. He started writing at the age of 10 and was submitting manuscripts to publishers by the time he was 13. David currently lives in the town of Ramsgate, Kent. He is married with two children, and makes increasingly crazy videos on his 'David Grimstone' youtube channel.
Brothers Grimm

Jane Ray`s truly exquisite artwork has gained acclaim around the world. She won the 6-8 category of the Smarties Prize with The Story of Creation. The Story of Christmas was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Award, and A Balloon for Grandad was shortlisted for the Mother Goose Award. Jane lives in London.
Elly Griffiths

Elly was born in London to Italian/English parents, and has lived near Brighton since she was five. She worked in a library, then for The Bookseller magazine and finally at HarperCollins, before becoming a full-time writer. She is best known for her Ruth Galloway series of crime novels, and has won a Crime Writers' Association Dagger for her work. Elly works in a writing shed in her garden, usually accompanied by her cat, Gus.
Bethany Griffin

Bethany Griffin is the author of the Young Adult book Masque of the Red Death, and its sequel, Dance of the Red Death. John Gribbin

John Gribbin is a well known and highly respected science writer, broadcaster and journalist, who recently contributed to Melvyn Bragg's On Giants' Shoulders. Mary Gribbin studied psychology and teaches young people with special needs. They have co-written several children's books, as well as the Scientists in 90 minutes series (Constable).Their book 'What's the Big Idea?: Time and the Universe' was the winner of the TES Information Book Award.
Colin Greenland

Born in 1954 and educated at Oxford, Colin Greenland is the author of a number of acclaimed science fiction and fantasy novels, including the BSFA and ARTHUR. C. CLARKE AWARD-winning TAKE BACK PLENTY. He has contributed short stories to many anthologies and magazines as well as reviews of new fiction for the GUARDIAN, the INDEPENDENT, and many other publications. He has also had stories broadcast on BBC Radio 4.

Jennifer Gray

Jennifer Gray is a former lawyer and now writes children's comedy. Her other work includes the Atticus Claw series. She lives in central London and Scotland with her family. Amanda Swift is a former actress. She has written for several children's series, including My Parents are Aliens, and dramatised two Jacqueline Wilson books for Radio 4. She has written three novels for the 9+ age group. She lives in south-east London.
Caroline Gray

Caroline Gray earned a BA from Brown University (Providence, Rhode Island) and a Certificate in Children's Book Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. In 2013 she returned to the UK where she completed the MA in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art.Humour is the driving force behind Caroline's work. She is inspired by anthropomorphised animals, fantasy worlds and the strange things our pets get up to when we leave the house. She works with a combination of digital and traditional techniques.She lives in Cambridge with her husband, young son, dog, cat and an ever growing collection of children's books.
Sue Graves

Sue Graves has been a freelance children's author for more than 17 years. She has written over two hundred books for children from pre-school up to 15+ years. She writes fiction and non fiction, plays and poetry across the age ranges. Sue loves reading all sorts of books and is at her happiest when she has a book in her hand. She also loves painting in watercolours, playing tennis and badminton and going for long walks in the country with her husband and children.
