Emma Quay is an illustrator and writer of many award-winning picture books; her memorable characters for Rudie Nudie, Bear and Chook, Good Night, Me, Shrieking Violet, Daddy's Cheeky Monkey, Not a Cloud in the Sky, Scarlett, Starlet and My Sunbeam Baby are favourites on children's bookshelves all over Australia.Emma grew up in the English countryside, and has wanted to illustrate children's books for as long as she can remember. She works from a studio in her home and sometimes feels like she barely leaves it, but her illustrative work is held in collections around the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
Nigel Quinlan is an Irish writer born in Limerick in 1970. He has worked in libraries and bookshops all over Ireland before washing up in the midlands village of Cloughjordan with his wife and his two children. He writes stories for local festivals and acts with the local drama group.
