Out of her fight for the treatment she needed and then, following her partial recovery, her fight for the same support for her fellow sufferers, Ali has become an assertive and articulate young woman determined to see positive benefits from her difficult experiences.

Now she's in the UK where she splits her time holding late-night writing sessions, daydreaming in libraries, and having Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathons with her girlfriend Rachel and a pup named Malfi.
