R J Anderson
Rebecca Anderson was born in Uganda, raised in Ontario, went to school in New Jersey, and has spent much of her life dreaming of other worlds entirely. As a child she immersed herself in fairy tales, mythology, and the works of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and E. Nesbit; later she discovered more contemporary authors like Ursula LeGuin, Patricia A. McKillip and Robin McKinley, and learned to take as much pleasure from their language as the stories they told. Now married and the mother of three young sons, Rebecca reads to her children the classic works of fantasy and science fiction that enlivened her own childhood, and tries to bring a similar sense of humour, adventure, and timeless wonder to the novels she writes for children and young adults.

Kathryn James always wanted to be an author, but had plenty of jobs and raised a family before actually becoming one. Some wonderful jobs, like scuba-diving in Malta, and some not so wonderful, like buttering bread in a sandwich shop. Working with gypsy and traveller children and teenagers was another highlight: most enjoyably, doing photography and video projects, which led to making documentaries about travelling lives. Apart from writing, Kathryn loves travelling in her camper van to out of the way places where she can watch the stars at night. Find out more at www.kathrynjames.co.uk

As a child, Anita loved to write her address listing the house number, the street name, the town, the county, the country, the continent, the planet, the galaxy, finishing with the Universe. This made her realise that she was in a much bigger space than the small area she could see around her. Much later in life, she was inspired to write "I am here! Where are you?" using exactly that concept. She now enjoys sharing her book during visits to bookstores, schools and libraries. Anita has had a varied career path including teaching, project management and IT consultancy, and is now using her retirement to hone her writing skills. She is a proud founder member of a small local writers' group and believes this has helped her to develop as a writer since the group was formed in 2015. She has been married for 47 years and has three grown up children and two beautiful grandsons, Oscar and Jacob. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, travelling, singing in a local pop choir, swimming and reading.
