Kate Pankhurst

Since graduating from the University of Central Lancashire, Kate Pankhurst has worked as an illustrator. She works regularly in primary and secondary schools running sessions linked to illustration and writing and as part of Creatives, a company specialising in high quality arts experiences for children and young people. Kate has previously illustrated both picture books and fiction for a variety of publishers. Kate was the recipient of the MACMILLAN PRIZE FOR PICTURE BOOK ILLUSTRATION in 2002. Michelle Paver

Born in Malawi to a Belgian mother and a father who ran the tiny 'NYASALAND TIMES', Michelle Paver moved to the UK when she was three. She was brought up in Wimbledon and, following a Biochemistry Degree from Oxford, she became a partner in a big City law firm. She gave up the City to follow her long-held dream of becoming a writer. Mark Perry

Mark Perry of BBC's Dead Ringers fame (as the voice of Martin Jarvis and Graham Norton) is a political and sports impressionist in other BBC radio series and in The Archers. On TV he has appeared in Mr Charity and in various stage productions around Britain.
Jim Pipe

I've written over 170 titles on a wide range of topics, including Augmented Reality projects, puzzle books and pop-up books, though history is my real love. I also create highly interactive 3D book apps and especially enjoy creating horrible sound effects. Hobbies include watching Kung Fu movies, eating French food and diving off cliffs, though usually not at the same time.
Luisa Plaja

Luisa Plaja writes fiction about teenagers and relationships. She has a passion for books, and edits the teen book blog Chicklish, as well as helping to run book clubs in libraries.
Julie Plec

Julie Plec juggles work in film and television as both a producer and a writer. She is the co-creator and executive producer of The Vampire Diaries. She created The Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals, which tells the story of history's first vampire family, and collaborated with Greg Berlanti and Phil Klemmer on The Tomorrow People, the story of a small group of people gifted with extraordinary paranormal abilities, making them the next evolutionary leap of mankind.Plec got her start as a television writer on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, which she also produced for its three-year run.
