Tom Jackson has been a writer for 20 years. He has written more than 80 books and contributed to hundreds more. Tom gets to write about a wide range of subjects, everything from axolotls to zoroastrianism. However, his specialties are natural history, technology and all things scientific. Tom spends his days finding fun ways of communicating these kinds of facts, new and old, to all age groups and reading abilities.Tom lives in Bristol, England, with his wife and three children. He studied zoology at Bristol University and has had spells working at the zoos in Jersey and Surrey. Tom has also worked as a conservationist, which saw him planting trees in Somerset, surveying Vietnamese jungle and rescuing wildlife from drought-ridden Zimbabwe. Writing jobs have also taken him to the Galápagos Islands, the Amazon rain forest, the coral reefs of Indonesia and the Sahara Desert. Nowadays, he can be found mainly in the attic.

Caroline Jayne Church has worked in every field of illustration, including advertising, packaging, character creation, card design and paper products. She has created characters for Safeways, Asda and Innocent. She now works from a studio in Surrey writing and illustrating children's books, many of which have won awards and been translated into over 8 languages.
Gary Jeffrey, from Clacton on-Sea, Essex, UK, is well-known for his adaptions of biographies and history for comics. Over the course of a decade writing and story boarding these comics he grew to love the medium and became excited by its possibilities.
Caryn Jenner was born and raised in the USA, but has lived all her adult life in the UK. The very best thing she's ever done in her life is adopting her fabulous and fascinating daughter. The next best thing is working with children as a school volunteer. She also enjoys writing and editing books for children. She lives in London with her husband, daughter and cats.
Cally studied illustration at Newcastle Art College and since graduating has worked in the children's design industry. She spent 6 fun filled years as an in-house artist for Hallmark Cards before going on to become a freelance illustrator.She now has her own home studio with a lovely view of the Northumberland countryside.Inspiration for her work comes from almost anything: a pretty tea set, hill walking, tending her vegetable patch, even panda bears. (Though she's yet to meet one).
