S.B. Hayes

Siobhan Hayes spent her formative years at a Catholic convent school in Crosby, Merseyside. Later she studied English at university and worked for the Civil Service. A spell as an earth mother to her three sons followed and she has also done voluntary work with children and teenagers. Her time is currently spent writing and working for the family business, but she spends much of the time escaping for long walks by the sea.
Sarah Horne

Sarah grew up in Derbyshire, mainly under a snow drift. She spent much of her childhood scampering in the nearby fields with a few goats. Then she decided to be sensible and studied Illustration at Falmouth College of Arts, graduating in 2001. She has illustrated for many different projects including an ad campaign for Kew Gardens entitled 'Plantastic Play'. She has also undertaken commission from The Guardian and The Independent newspapers. Sarah now specialises in funny, inky illustration and words for children's fiction and picture books. Sarah likes to paint on very big canvas. She loves funny detail, colour, music, dreams and big open spaces. Sarah now works from a studio on a hill in Forest Hill, London.
Imogen Howson

Imogen Howson has written six fantasy books for adults. In 2008, she won the Elizabeth Goudge Award for Romantic Fiction for A Stolen Cloak of Feathers. Her futuristic YA short story Falling was a finalist in EPIC's Eppie Awards for science fiction and futuristic romance. Imogen lives in the UK near Sherwood Forest with her partner and their two daughters.
Gregory Hughes

Gregory Hughes was born and lives in Liverpool. After being expelled from Jesuit school, he went to a home for wayward boys, where he spent some very happy times. After some madcap years in his youth, he went to University to study computers. He has worked as everything from a dishwasher to a deep sea diver, and has worked in many countries including Norway, Canada and America.
