Reg Grant trained as an historian at Oxford University. He then worked as a language teacher in Paris and Lisbon before returning home to become a freelance writer. His books for Hodder Wayland include several volumes in the New Perspectives series.
Mike Gordon

Mike Gordon is an ever-popular and award-winning cartoonist. He has produced over 500 cards for Hallmark and over 300 picture books for various publishers. His talent has been rewarded with numerous awards inlcuding Berol cartoonist of the year (1988) and runner up for the Trento Fra realto e Follia (1990). He was also nominated for the Silver Quill Award (Germany, 1991) and for the Book and Magazine Illustrator of the Year by the National Cartoonists Society (1995).
Jane Goodwin

Jane Goodwin read English at Swansea University and then pursued a career in education. She has been a teacher for 12 years and is interested in how children develop as literate members of the community.

Meg Gillett is a highly experienced geography teacher and GCSE examiner. After several years working in the leisure and tourism industry, she returned to the classroom and has since written a range of textbooks for KS2 to A-level.
Clive Gifford

Clive Gifford is the author of more than 150 children's books including Eye Benders, winner of the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize, Royal Society-nominated Out of This World and Cool Technology which won the School Library Association Information Book Award. His book, The Colours of History, won the Blue Peter Book Awards' Best Book With Facts. He has travelled through 70 countries, run a computer games company and taken part in all manner of sports from parachuting and gliding to Ultimate Frisbee. Anita Ganeri

Anita Ganeri is an award-winning author of children's information books. She has been a writer for 20 years, after working in-house for Usborne Publishing and Walker Books. She specialises in the natural world, religion and mythology but is always looking for new challenges. Among her many titles are the best-selling 'Horrible Geography' series for Scholastic Children's Books which won the Blue Peter Book Award for the Best Book with Facts in 2009 and the Tivy Education Medal from the Royal Scottish Geographical Society for an outstanding contribution to geographical education. Anita lives in northern England with her husband, children, dogs and cat. She enjoys reading, walking the Moors, playing tennis and dreaming of winning Wimbledon.
