David Bedford

David is the author of over 60 children's books for all preschool and primary ages. David's books include best-selling picture books such as 'Big Bear Little Bear' and 'The Dinosaur Games', and 'The Team' football fiction series.Babies Don't Bite is his first book for Hodder.David was born in Devon, grew up in Warrington, and settled in Norfolk, where he lives by the sea with his family. David had an early successful career as a genetic engineer making newfangled antibiotics, before retiring from science at the very early age of 27! He now spends a lot of his time swimming in the sea, doing Tai Chi, cooking for his increasingly demanding family, visiting schools, libraries and festivals - and writing.
Peter Bently

Peter studied languages at Oxford and lives in Devon, England. He is the author of the hilarious and bestselling The Great Bottom Swap, shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. King Jack and the Dragon, illustrated by Helen Oxenbury, was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal and was among the American Library Association's Notable Children's Books of the year. Nick Butterworth

After leaving school Nick Butterworth went to work as a typographic designer and formed a partnership with Mick Inkpen. Nick's books have sold over 12 million copies around the world in more than 25 languages. He has won several prestigious awards including the Nestle Gold Award for The Whisperer. Perhaps his best known character Percy the Park Keeper first appeared in 1989 in One Snowy Night and has been the subject of a series of animated films for television.
